CORNER OF CAMPBELLTOWN ROAD & ROSE PAYTEN DRIVE

The Panjo building: from landmark to The Gateway

For almost two decades, the building on the corner of Campbelltown Road and Rose Payten Drive has been one of the first things people see as they enter Campbelltown. Most locals know it simply as “Panjo”. Here’s some background, and what comes next on the site.

The Panjo vision

Panjo was conceived as a centre for children and families.

Why it was never finished

Construction began around 2007. Unfortunately work stopped. Despite a restart, the center never opened, and the site changed hands.

Keeping the spirit of the original idea

Panjo was always meant to serve local families. The Gateway keeps that idea alive with a dedicated childcare centre and health services, alongside space for local businesses to own or lease.

“We are excited to revitalise this key site for Campbelltown.”
